On earth we´re briefly gorgeous. Fine, clean copy. In Ocean Vuong’s “On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous” the Vietnamese-American narrator, Little Dog, writes a letter to his mother who cannot read. He writes the letter while he is in his late twenties and unfolds his family’s story before he was born. It’s a gripping story of a Vietnam plagued by war, a family’s will to survive and about sides of Little Dog’s life his mother did not know.
