Five of the plates bear dates, which range from 1704 to 1707. The frontispiece and plate C incorporate a portrait of Gyldenløve. Plate A shows the casket being taken off an illuminated ship at night. Plate B, the procession to the church, is on 4 joined sheets measuring ca. 185 cm. in length. Plate C shows the “Pavillon” in which the casket lay in state. Plate D, on 3 joined sheets measuring ca. 147 cm. in length, shows the funeral ceremony with the casket on an elaborate catafalque. Plate E, on 3 joined sheets measuring ca. 160 cm. in length, shows the procession leaving the church with the casket. Plate F shows the elaborate copper casket. Slightly bleched spine.
