Like the three previuos books: ‘It’s a matter of Editorial Design’, ‘It’s a matter fo Identity’ and ‘It’s a matter of Promotion’, ‘It’s a matter of Packaging’ invites readers on a journey around the globe that showcases the latest and most interesting packaging designs throughout the industry. The book is divided into three main sections: Visual, Touch and Idea, featuring designs from shopping bags to music, food and beverages, matches, books and toys. In ‘Visual’, there are emotive CD packaging by design teams, Zion Graphics and Non-Format. Zion Graphics not only use bright colours and bold typography, they have also abandoned printing on paper for plastic instead. Non-Format, on the other hand, use photographic imagery (a plastic robotic Adam from Garden of Eden) to provoke their viewers.
